Madder Rose - Live @ Reading Festival, England, 28-08-1993

NOTE: Madder Rose was a New York City-based alternative rock band who recorded in the 1990s.
The band was fronted by Mary Lorson, who shared songwriting duties with guitarist Billy Coté.
The 2 singer/songwriters continued their collaboration, Cote as guest producer on Lorson's 3 discs with Saint Low, Lorson as guest vocalist on Cote's Jazz Cannon disc. Lorson and Cote have also created the original scores to several films, notably HBO's documentary of Sally Mann) and in 2008 released a disc with Kathy Ziegler as The Piano Creeps.
The band released 3 albums on Atlantic Records, and 1 on Cooking Vinyl, before breaking up in 1999. (from Wikipedia)

  3. I discovered Madder Rose when they opened for Belly back in '93. The next day I immediately tracked down their album and I've been a fan ever since. Sadly the last time I saw them was in a dingy club in Portland. The opener played far too long and by the time Madder Rose hit the stage I think there were maybe 10 of us left to listen.

    Anyway, thanks for the show!
