Pearl Jam - Live @ I Beam, San Francisco, USA, 30-09-1991

NOTE: Ed stands on a monitor and then tumbles into the audience during 'Alive.' 'Garden' starts, and after the first verse Ed sees a fight in the first row and breaks it up, then sings the second verse from down on the floor, which seems to calm people down. Then he says, "All right I'll trust you guys to be friends," and climbs back up on stage. Ed suddenly jumps into the crowd again during 'Jeremy,' probably to break up another fight, since three crew members pile in after him.
The mood lightens up a bit, and Ed climbs like a maniac during 'Porch.' The end of the song is sung from the rafters. 'I've Got a Feeling' is a Beatles cover. (PJ's studio version appears on the Japanese release of Ten and early promo releases of 'Alive'). Long, jammy version, with Mike adding Hendrix bits and Ed improvising lyrics.

Blur - Live @ Warehouse, Toronto, Canada, 01-10-1995

Blur - Live @ Wembley Arena, London, England, 13-12-1995

NOTE: This week marks the 30th anniversary of "Leisure" (release date in USA: September 24, 1991), the debut studio album by the English rock band Blur.
It was released in the USA with a different track listing: this version is frontloaded with Blur's 3 UK singles, and the song "Sing" was replaced by "I Know", previously an A-side with "She's So High".
Blur’s debut is divisive amongst fans and the band themself. Whilst it is certainly dated, there are some refreshing moments of genius in it that make it a nice change of pace in comparison to some of the quaint, overly British music the band would release over the rest of the decade.
It is also significant as it was Blur‘s first album and effectively set them on their way to superstardom. Like with any debut, the band learnt a lot about themselves, and without the experience, it is likely that we would have got a very different Blur to the one we know today.
