    I was at this show! This was the Nirvana day at the 1992 Reading Festival, they had curated a lot of the day with friends like the Melvins, L7, Screaming Trees, Mudhoney, Bjorn Again, Teenage Fanclub and the interlopers on "Kurtfest" were Nick Cave, Beastie Boys and Pavement. The site had been ravaged by gale force winds and rain the night before so the main stage was the only stage open and utterly waterlogged, Pavement played into a prevailing wind and blew everyone away, they fit so perfectly (where the Beasties failed to connect, how odd!) and won everyone over as they were so much better live than on record at that point.
