The second album by Scottish band Belle and Sebastian was released in 1996 on Jeepster Records in the United Kingdom and in 1997 by Matador Records in the United States. Band leader Stuart Murdoch has stated the album is probably his best collection of songs. Pitchfork placed it at number 14 in its top 100 albums of the 1990s.
