Sonic Youth - Live @ CBGB, New York, USA, 23-06-1988

NOTE: Sonic Youth played back to back nights at CBGB's on June 23, 1988 and June 24, 1988! The band exclusively played songs from "Daydream Nation" at these gigs with some fun twists, including alternate lyrics and different styles. The band was still in the process of working out the songs that would appear on "Daydream Nation".
For instance, Thurston Moore sang "Cross The Breeze" on this night one.
Sonic Youth entered the studio to record "Daydream Nation" in July 1988 and the album was officially released in October of that year.
Considering the size and acoustics of the venue, the sound is surprisingly impressive, with Thurston Moore and Lee Ranaldo‘s guitars separated in the stereo mix. And while drummer Steve Shelley, bassist Kim Gordon and all the vocals could be a little brighter and more prominent, this 55-minute noisefest still beats any bootleg you’ve got by a mile.
A historic concert!
Not the complete show - missing first track.
A must have!
Concert divided into separate tracks by Live Bootlegs Blog.
