Caged Animals, who fuse psych-rock, hip-hop and shoegazing elements, are of
this kind of ilk. The group have been thus far labelled as “a
hip-hop-influenced Velvet Underground”,
their music has been described as “a self-loathing snapshot of midnight”
and they have even been suggested to soundtrack any possible remake of David
Lynch’s Blue Velvet (which one day will inevitably happen, so fingers crossed
for the band).
